At the present time, four out of the five major world religions accept reincarnation as part of their theology; Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and Judaism. Christianity originally accepted reincarnation. This thoelogical precept has been rejected since the historical Fifth Ecumenical Council at Constantinople in 553 AD when the Roman Empire was divided into the Eastern and Western Empires. Justinian, the Emperor of the Eastern Empire used his personal influence to dissuade the only two Roman Western bishops attending the council to denounce the belief of reincarnation. Since two previous Roman Popes were murdered after they accepted reincarnation as a belief of the Bible, Justinian's persuasion altered the voting of the presiding bishops followed by Bible burnings and rewritting the Bible throughout the Eastern and Western Empires.
